He loves to eat and hang out on the reception desk and greet everyone when they come in for their appointments.

Curtis L. Sanford, DVM, opened the doors of Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital
on November 2, 2009.
Dr. Sanford brings twenty one years of valuable veterinary experience to the heart of Downtown Minneapolis.
He has knowledge in all aspects of veterinary medicine and believes every animal deserves the best care possible.

Curtis L. Sanford, DVM
Born and raised in New Brighton, MN, Dr. Sanford received his doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.
After graduation, he was employed by Roseville Animal Hospital for five years.
He purchased Willmar Pet Hospital in Willmar, MN in 1995, where he practiced for fourteen years. While in Willmar, he gained certification in Stem Cell Therapy for Arthritis in cats & dogs.
In the rural community of Willmar, he lead the way in providing Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery as well as Patellar Luxation surgery. In addition, he performed numerous soft tissue surgeries.
Seeking a change of pace for his family, he sold Willmar Pet Hospital and moved back to Minneapolis where he established Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital in the Fall of 2009.
Dr. Sanford lives in Minneapolis with his wife Lisa, of twenty years, and his son Grayson,
who is fifteen years old.
They love their loyal Cavaliers, LIZZIE and TAYLOR,
and their two cats, HERMIONE AND SNOWFLAKE.
Last, but not least, TOM the Cornsnake is loved by everyone!
Dr. Sanford enjoys scuba diving, competitive running and bicycling.
Lisa L. Sanford (Office Manager)
Lisa was born and raised in North Dakota and attended North Dakota State University where she majored in Interior Design.
For fourteen years, she was a stay-at-home mom and has played a supporting role in the veterinary field, helping to design the new Willmar Pet Hospital building in Willmar, Minnesota. She is responsible for the design of the new Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital space and is working part-time as the Office Manager/Receptionist.
Lisa has been married to Dr. Sanford for twenty years and they have one son, Grayson, who is fifteen years old.
Lisa loves art, reading, scuba diving and going for walks.

Heather Yonaites, CVT (Senior Technician)
Heather graduated from Argosy University in 2007. Her areas of special interest while in college were; dentistry, exotics and animal behavior.
Heather is originally from Rice Lake, Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota thirteen years ago.
She has always had pets growing up and has a strong passion for animals,
so this career is perfect for her.
She currently has a cat named "LUCIUS", a Golden Retriever named "BAILEY",
a rabbit named "MIDORI", a Cockatiel named "PICHU", a Quaker Parrot named "YOSHI"
and two Beta fish that keep her quite busy as well as her pet sitting business for the many clients in the area.
When she's not caring for the animals, you will find Heather rollerblading, reading or drawing.
David Mills (Janitorial Services)
David started working at Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital in February 2011.
He comes to us through our relationship with Partnership Resources, Inc.
David's job is to help keep the hospital and bathroom's clean. David says that "he really likes working here, his co-worker's are great and he likes seeing all the differant animals."
David's hobbies include: acting and singing, watching scary movies and listening to music.
Nicole Crist (Junior Technician)
Nicole graduated from Argosy University in 2011. Her area of interest is large exotics.
She would eventually like to work at a zoo.
Nicole is originally from Bozeman, MT. She moved to Minneapolis two years ago to attend school.
Nicole is also a groomer and has been grooming pets for eight years.
While not working for Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital, Nicole volunteers for the Wildcat Sanctuary and is a groomer at Augusta Paw Spa in Edina.
In Nicole's spare time she likes to golf and explore her new city!
She has one cat named "O'Malley".

Fees for services provided by Minneapolis Veterinary Hospital
are based on time, expertise required and expense of products utilized in the treatment of your pet.
We welcome the chance to discuss our fees and services with you to determine the best course of treatment necessary.
All fees are due and payable at the time your pet is discharged from the hospital.
We accept cash, check and all major credit cards.

Pet Project Rescue is a no kill, 501(c)(3) non profit rescue that places homeless animals in foster homes until they are adopted by their forever families.
